How is venue of the exhibition assigned?
Venue of every exhibition is assigned by the International Bureau of Exhibitions, which considers applications of different countries for exhibition holding. All the participants of the contest must meet great number of criteria, have a developed infrastructure and communications. Russia put a claim for EXPO 2010 holding, and will also participate in a contest for Expo 2020 holding (Krasnoyarsk is offered to be a venue of EXPO 2020).
